VIOLENT CRIME HITS A NEW HIGH IN THE MORNINGTON PENINSULA

The Victoria Police annual crime statistics report for 2007-08 leaked to the Opposition reveal that crime in the Mornington Peninsula area has increased over the last year in 16 of the 27 reported crime categories and overall violent crime in Police Region 5 grew more than any other region in the last twelve months, Leader of the Victorian Liberal Nationals Coalition Ted Baillieu said today.
